LZ Project Space is pleased to present American Sports Wear work by Ibn Kendall. This sculptural triptych is influenced by people going to and coming from work in New York City. The metal and Plexiglas works are solid, unyielding and reminiscent of modern architecture. For the artist they symbolize protection but also confinement, and reflect the question of what to wear in the work place. Within this context, self-determination vs. conformity acts within a hierarchical framework like any other structure.
