Intimate, mesmerizing oil on canvas landscapes relay an  intrinsically meditative quality springing from the human condition of hope amid despair.  Ms. Madden’s use of color coupled with her handling of the medium is superb and masterful.  Her calm, earthen pallet is applied in a controlled yet undeniably painterly fashion.
